Caring Ministry Fund to Support Salvation Army Aid Referrals and Our Homeless Ministry

Aloha, Ohana!

In these difficult economic times, many members of our community, (kupuna on fixed incomes, struggling working families, low-income workers) need assistance trying to make ends meet. The cost of living in Maui has always been high, but inflation has made the situation untenable for many of our neighbors. Native Hawaiians and families who have lived in Maui for generations are finding it hard to stay in a place that has been their only home. The Salvation Army has been a lifeline for many of these people and for others who call Maui home, connecting them with churches and aid organizations that can assist them. Lahaina United Methodist Church is proud to be one of those resources. The Salvation Army refers clients to us, and we have been able to help many people, thanks to your generous donations.

We work with the Maui Rescue Mission to help minister to the physical and spiritual needs of our houseless neighbors, through our breakfast ministry and fellowship. We support the Maui Rescue Mission in their work.

If you would like to contribute to our Caring Ministry Fund, you may send a check to Lahaina United Methodist Church, 142 Baker St., Lahaina, 96761 and write Caring Fund in the notes field, or you may click on the donate button to make an online donation.
