The four Coastal Rotary clubs will be hosting a West Maui Community Wellness Fair--Keiki to Kupuna, on Saturday, August 27, 2022. The time of the event will be from 9:00 am-1:00 pm and it will be held on the grounds of the Lahaina United Methodist Church located adjacent to the Outlets of Maui on Front Street. Numerous agencies will have informational booths that provide wellness services and activities for keiki to kupuna.
Some of the agencies at the fair include Kaunoa Senior Center, Imua Family Services, Red Cross of Maui, UHMC Dental Program, and West Maui Chiropractic. The event will feature all-day entertainment by George Kahumoku, Jr. and his students and the Lahainaluna High School Band. Food trucks for the event will be Dee’s Poi Mochi and Joy’s Onolicious Grindz.
A special feature of the event will be the “Passport for Prizes”. Participants can pick up a passport at the Rotary Information booth and obtain stamps from 10 of the numerous vendors and agencies at the event. The stamped passport can be turned in at the Rotary booth. Children ages 16 and under can spin the wheel to be able to win a gift card from such businesses as McDonald’s, Starbucks, Fun Factory, and many more. Adults’ passports will go into a drawing for gift cards that will be given away at the end of the event. Winners need not be present to win.
To quote event coordinator Dr. Allan Weiland: "The Rotary Clubs of Maui are committed to improving the health of our community, and bringing all these wonderful resources together will help achieve that goal."
